Conclusion

What would Gandhi say...?

If we could ask Gandhi would we could do to give abundance its rightful place in our lives, I think he would say:
Re-establish our ties to nature

Reform Economics

Return trust, faith, and belief back to the people, where they rightly belong.
BE LIKE THE SUN
Inviting us to embrace natures way, Gandhi might point to Satish Kumar's (2002) book You Are, Therefore I Am: A Decleration of Dependence
THE COIN OF THE REALM: MONEY, TRUST, MUTUALITY, AND FICTION
While economics has contributed greatly to human advancement, it has also enslaved us all, including the uber-wealthy. The new economics needs to be predicated on nature's ways rather than the manipulative scarcity humans invented.
BELIEF AND BELIEBEN
For too long, trust, faith and belief have been owned by dogma-perpetuating institutions like the economic system or religious dogma. These institutions have used them as human control mechanisms, masquerading as liberating forces.

I want to end this book and the topics of belief in particular with a personal message. As an educator and student of societal events, I am often asked if I am a person of faith, if I believe in God?

Those are two very different questions...
